BWT Water live 2015 Logo

Water is life, water is energy, water is future.
BWTs water treatment technologies are on the forefront of the world’s water treatment innovators and help all humans with the best water quality available and therefore to a better life.

The concept of BWT‘s 25 years celebration was founded on the idea to experience water in all its forms, to experience vast oceans and the journey of a molecule from the mists of the rainforests to the rumbling roars of a thunderstorm, from icy glaciers to the gorges of wild rivers to the beauty of a rainbow in the endless skies.
The briefing for Austria’s largest B2B event in 2015 asked for a thrilling experience and a unique event concept for the selected guests from all over the world. A concept full of spectacles, history and fascination based around the powerful element of water.

“Water live 2015” was dramatized – an unprecedented artistic and multimedia project peaking in a water-performance of the exclusively conceived „Cirque de’l Eau”.
The ensemble of the „Cirque de l´Eau“ featured the finest acrobats and dancers associated with water, a Soloist of the Cirque du Soleil´s Las Vegas Show „LOVE“, the duo „Aquarius“, an acrobat from Franco Dragones „House of Dancing Waters“ in all 30 trailblazing talents.
Cirque de l’Eau combined responsive auditive and visual content and the performers delicately explored the story of the element –water – while aerial acrobats floated amidst fountains of pearl-water.

In less than 2weeks of conception time and 2 months of production a team of more than 500 prepared and delivered 3 days of continuous surprises.
Guests from 32 nations were hosted. A stirring welcome night, a house fair, to showcase BWTs products, The Water Live 2015 Gala Show, a matinee with “Salzburg’s Chamber Soloists” and a Farewell in Red Bull’s Hangar 7, one of Salzburg′s contemporary top-attractions.

One of the biggest challenges was the location fort the Show night. A working airport terminal with special security demanded a meticulous project planning and a high degree of innovation. One week of setup and 2 days of intensive rehersals were necessary to put this extravagant experience onto the stage.

One of Europe’s widest LED-screens delivered 60m of water, art and artistry with more than 1800 hours in the creation oft the elaborate and mapped content. The screen camouflaged a specially engineered hidden door for invisible entrances and exits. A stunning overture, showcased water around the globe and in all ist facets immersing the audience into the element with complex media programming spanning a huge field of vision.

A completely interactive welcome waterfall was devised and installed as a visual centerpiece. A beautiful live hostess within the waterfall interacted and connected with the 600 guests individually as they passed by.

The three dimensional thrust-stage was submerged in real water housing a multitude of water jets and a water splashing dancefloor.
The in-house ceiling was augmented by a complete event-trussing system to accommodate for remotely controlled ceiling-water-bubbles, more than 500 lighting instruments and numerous wires for flying-acrobats as well as projection fixtures for every table to immerse every act into its special aura.

With this evening the agency Grasl & Partner breached the boundaries of the client’s expectations according to their motto “supreme concepts and affectionate realization”. An evening for you and planet blue. Unforgettable – etched in the memories of BWTs guests.
